Layered Hummus Dip

A quick family-friendly meal that can be made in less than half an hour. Serve with pita bread for a balanced meal.

Ingredients

  • 250 grams Lean Beef Mince
  • 1/2 Green Capsicum (cubed)
  • 2 Garlic Cloves (mince)
  • 1 tsp Ground Allspice
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Sumac
  • 1/4 tsp Cinnamon
  • Salt & Black Pepper (to taste)
  • 2 cups Hummus
  • 1 Tomato (medium, diced)
  • 1/4 cup Red Onion (diced)
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Parsley (chopped)

Directions

  1. Heat a nonstick pan over medium-high heat. Add the beef, green capsicum, garlic, allspice, sumac, cinnamon, salt, and pepper. Stir for eight to 10 minutes or until the beef is cooked through.
  2. Spread the hummus evenly onto a plate. Top with the beef mixture, tomatoes, onions, and parsley. Enjoy!

Notes

Leftovers: Refrigerate in an airtight container for up to three days.

More flavour: Add olives, avocado or jalapenos
